Infinity pods are pre-filled for beginners with the RELX Infinity. There are a variety of flavors and nicotine strengths available in RELX Pod Pro pods that hold 1.9 mL of juice. Not only that but there’s more. It has won the 2020 Red Dot award for product design for its dual-charging system, which allows for on-the-go charging using one of two charging cases (sold separately).
The Infinity is not currently available for purchase in the US, so before we get to our review, let’s note that. After that, keep reading for my thoughts on the Infinity, and whether it can aid smokers who are transitioning from cigarettes to vaping. For more information, visit relxinfinityth.com.
How it feels, how it weighs, and how it sizes
The RELX Infinity weighs around 25 grams with a full pod inside and measures 112 mm x 23 mm x 10 mm. While its size and weight are very similar to RELX’s previous offering, the RELX Classic, its more rounded shape makes it easier to hold. A lightweight and very useful vape, it fits easily into your pocket and you will forget it is there.
It’s the shape of the mouthpiece that I liked best on Infinity. The Classic has a lower profile mouthpiece compared to the Classic, so I was skeptical at first, but it soon grew on me. Its flat shape makes it very comfortable to wear.
In regards to the pods, I would like to point out that they do wiggle a little when placed in the battery. You’ll hear them rattle when you move the battery, but I haven’t accidentally lost a pod.
Charge and life of the battery
At the bottom of the battery is a Type-C port for charging the device. Additionally, the Infinity came with two charging cases, one with a capacity of 1000 mAh and another with a capacity of 1500 mAh. With a wall charger, the Infinity charges at a rate of 1 amp. Using my 2-amp charger, I charged my Infinity in 45 minutes, and I expect the cases will take a similar amount of time.
In RELX’s opinion, the battery will last between 500 and 650 puffs. This number may not be valid, but I can assure you that it lasts a long time. On a single charge, I got about half a pod, but these 1.9 mL pods are small and you’d have a hard time using half a 5% pod within a day.
Ultimately, the Infinity is an excellent choice for beginner vapers and people transitioning from smoking to vaping. Vaping on it is very easy, there are many options for nicotine strength and flavor, and it is very satisfying. I can vouch for the technology they implemented on the pods, as they are one of the smoothest vapes I have experienced in this product category. For those who are away from home a lot, the charging cases are also an excellent idea.
